The Porcelain Doll
Péter Gárdos. 2005. 75 Min.
Hungary. Drama. Hongarian with English subtitles.
Based on three fairytales by the Hungarian fabulist Ervin Lázár, the earthy, lovable farmers of PORCELAIN DOLL live by their own laws.
There was once a village, somewhere in Hungary. More precisely: in Europe. Even more precisely: on planet Earth. The villagers who lived in this village are amiable and simple, yet cunning. From time to time strangers will come to the Village.
And it is then that all hell always breaks loose because strangers always brought death to the village. And destruction. And hate. And jealousy. And vanity. And shame. And lies.
In this Village, strangers always cause trouble… [Text and Picture: Film Uni Hungary]
